My Vintage Verve
Verve [vurv] noun: Energy and enthusiasm in the expression of ideas
Whether you are a DIY pro or novice, this blog is meant to spark your excitement about something old and turn it into something new and creative. For years I have wanted to do something along these lines but never tried. I finally decided to give it a whirl and I’m amazed at how much I learn with every new project. You can reinvent just about anything with just a little fabric and paint.
With a little time spent treasure hunting, I'm learning to take old dated things and make them seem new and beautiful again. I never imagined my love for flea markets, antiques and vintage finds would have lead me to redesigning furniture and having my own space in a cute little shop. As you travel down this DIY road with me, hold on to the ideas that inspire you and make sure you do a little recreating of your own.
About Me
Hello. My name is Rachel. I'm the mother of three incredible boys and a few years ago, I resigned from my teaching position to stay home with them. Although I miss teaching, I am so fortunate to be able to spend time with my family while exploring the world of blogs, DIY projects and cool vintage finds.
I want you to take away from my experience the idea that you do not have to be an expert to create new life for furniture or your home. I am not an expert in DIY projects or home decorating but I know that with inspiration, desire and a little research, you can really have pieces that you love and have so much fun creating them. Let my verve, or enthusiasm for creativity, inspire you !
